THE THANK-YOU NOTE
After completion of the sales call, I suggest you send them a thank you note. This can be dropped in the mail the same night or a day or two later – but never more than a few days. What it does is provide a surprise response from your newly acquired prospect or customer. Then after completing the job, send another thank you note.
How often have you received a thank you note from someone who’d just serviced your Fridge, Drier, Washing Machine, Television, or Steam Cleaned your Carpets … this chalks up your first point. Secondly, when people receive something out of the ordinary, they tend to tell others about it. Good or bad – they talk.
Experts agree, that what you’ve just achieved, is some very favourable advertising for your business. And that’s literally worth many hundreds of advertising dollars spent elsewhere. Here’s some more good hints:
