THE THANK-YOU NOTE
After completion of the sales call, I suggest you send them a thank you note. This can be dropped in the mail the same night or a day or two later – but never more than a few days. What it does is provide a surprise response from your newly acquired prospect or customer. Then after completing the job, send another thank you note.
How often have you received a thank you note from someone who’d just serviced your Fridge, Drier, Washing Machine, Television, or Steam Cleaned your Carpets … this chalks up your first point. Secondly, when people receive something out of the ordinary, they tend to tell others about it. Good or bad – they talk.
Experts agree, that what you’ve just achieved, is some very favourable advertising for your business. And that’s literally worth many hundreds of advertising dollars spent elsewhere.
