OFFER YOUR EXPERTISE
If your client is a part of a brain-storming group offer to join it. If others of your clients sit on charity boards or panels offer to help out once in a while if you can’t justify spending the time being part of it. One of the problems with small business proprietors is they don’t have enough people to bounce idea’s off – that’s usually why so many get involved in charity work – it helps overcome some of the problem.
Come up with ideas on how they can better use your services or merchandise, but never give them the impression you’re wanting them to buy more from you. They’ll probably lose trust in you.
