ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR HELP
Do little things to make them feel appreciated. Send them Christmas cards each year. Go out of your way to make them feel special when you are able. If they help you get work – say thank you within a week. This can be done in person, with a thank you card, or by telephone. Whatever you do, remember they’re critical to the future of your business
ENSURE YOU PROVIDE EXCELLENT AFTER SALES SERVICE
If not, all your work, time and effort will have the gloss taken off it. Why should your customer go out of their way to help you make your business grow, if you can’t look after their needs properly. Unfortunately, even well reasoned, established professionals overlook this one point more than any other. Why? Because many feel that once their business has become quite profitable, customers will come out of the woodwork. Some will, but most won’t. In reality, the salespersons needs to work at establishing an on-going relationship with their existing clients.
