In the early 1990’s Australian Professor Alan Williams shared the result of his research findings regarding First Business Start-Ups in Australia to a group of reporters. Those findings soon found their way around the world, and in so many places worldwide those finding are still regarded as the benchmark for First Business Start-Ups.

According to the reporters who shared this knowledge at the time, most suggested the figures were Mind-Blowing. In fact, this is what they shared:

*50% of Business Start-Ups FAIL in their FIRST YEAR

*75% of Business Start-Ups FAIL in their SECOND YEAR

*and a STAGGERING 93% WILL FAIL WITHIN FIVE YEARS

These are highly sobering statistics for any business owner, but for those that are really concerned about their business and business future, they should learn what was researched initially that many years ago can affect their future.

The KEY TO FUTURE PROFITS was also revealed through the Research Data that Professor Williams really wanted to share 30 Years Ago was that only 3% of all the First Business Start-Ups in Australia actually studied a Marketing Program in the first 12 months of Business or in the 12 months prior to going into Business, and BECAUSE OF THIS 90% were Still in Business 10 years later – or had sold that Business for a handsome profit.
